our
values

People First

The Good Life culture is built around placing people first. By adapting the mantra, “None of my relationships are for me”, we all benefit from having a people-first posture. Our posture towards relationships is to not expect reciprocity. I cannot deprive others of the gifts that God has placed within me, I cannot deprive someone of ME, because I am not my own (in a sense). Here in Good Life, the noun PEOPLE is often used as a verb,“to PEOPLE”, then we added -ING to the verb to PEOPLE making it present continuous, “PEOPLE-ING”, which means we never stop.

Influence Matters

The currency of leadership is people. Every leader or emerging leader should strive to be an influencer.
Key influencers acknowledge and recognize that we should all have influence and we should all be influenced. The best place to be is to have both.
Good Life defines Influence as, “the ability to affect and move someone’s perspective, posture, and position.” – PC

  • Being wealthy isn’t good enough.
  • Being smart isn’t good enough.
  • Being creative isn’t good enough.

You don’t lead money, great ideas or creative concepts, YOU LEAD PEOPLE!
We must strive to have influence, make an impact and move the crowd.

Be Balanced

A healthy diet of the practical, the theoretical and the social influences results in balanced growth and development. These three components are represented within The Good Life Scale as The Way, The Truth and The Life. We build, measure and maintain everything and everyone based on this scale to ensure balanced and sustainable growth. We all know someone who has a great job, making good money but can’t keep a friend or that cousin who never met a stranger, nicest person in the world, but can’t keep a job.

  • For healthy growth, be balanced
  • For measured development, be balanced
  • To be seen and trusted, be balanced
  • To prosper and succeed, be balanced
Know Yourself

As much as we emphasize growth and development, push people towards influence and impact, and to to be movers and shakers, none of this happens without first knowing yourself.
Looking into the mirror allows you to build on your strengths and identify your weaknesses. The more you see and know, the more confident you become. Confidence is the key that unlocks all your gifts, talents and your entire “bag of tricks”.
Who am I? What happens to a room when I enter? Who do men say that I am (How am I seen)? What is my brand?
When you look in your mirror what do you see? The strengths, the weaknesses, the good and the bad.

Own the Room

What happens to a room when you enter It? You determine the narrative. The Good Life approach is to Live Loud in every environment. Loud doesn’t just refer to an audible sound. Loud also means to be obvious or remembered, to be obvious and not invisible in every single room, in every encounter.
Your gifts and talents must be seen, heard and felt in every room in every situation.
To own the room means that you determine the narrative: you determine what each encounter is like, you write the script for your life, you should never be the co-star in the story of your life. You must be be the star of your own show

Established 2016

our story

Good Life began as Good Life Entertainment in 2006 to fill a void on the Jamaican social scene. In 2016, Good Life was formally incorporated as The Good Life Network Inc. Our mission is to create opportunities and provide platforms for leaders and emerging leaders to become key influencers within their community and beyond. Cultural exchange trips, outreach initiatives, mentorship programs, social events, and personal developmental programs contribute to making today’s Good Lifer.
